About Us

Our Story

How did 2 restaurateurs decide to become farmers? Nick and I met while working at a well known, upscale casual restaurant, but we "clicked" several years later while we were both managers for the company. We worked side by side, through the pandemic, through shutdowns and opens, and everything that came with the constant adjusting to "the new normal" time and time again. We worked countless hours together and I'd rather not admit to the soul draining hours we put into that company before we left and moved home to Iowa.

It's amazing what can change in 6-7 months! We moved back the first week of November of 2022. For Christmas Nick got me a hydroponic vertical tower that held 27 plants, we grew lettuce, peppers, herbs, tomatoes and we were hooked! We immediately started researching vertical farming, sustainable agriculture, aquaponics, aeroponics, along with any and everything else we could think of. After months of dreaming and planning, we went all in and bought a used storage container farm, obtained an LLC and a web domain and here we are!
